Thank you for your interest in the Bangalore AI Safety & Alignment Study (BASIS). We're a small group for thoughtful, technically grounded discussions on AI safety and alignment, spanning papers, books, and open questions. We follow an active-participation discussion model that encourages deep engagement and free-flowing discussion.
About a dozen members today, six or seven attending each session, and we add people slowly and deliberately. We hope to get to know you better via the form below, and aim to get back to you within a couple of days.
What we look for
- You read papers cover-to-cover, not abstracts.
- You can show up in person in Bangalore.
- You enjoy high-participation groups and want to engage in discourse and dialogue.
- You're curious and open-minded, rather than focused on signaling expertise.
